Orson Scott Card: Alvin Journeyman

This was another great book in the Alvin Maker series. The more I read it, the more I really like this whole series. The characters are so engaging and although the events aren't these huge fantastical hero situations, they make it more realistic. And I really like the concept of an alternate America. In this case, I think the setting is like another character in the story because it adds so much to the story.

Only a few more books in the series and this is quickly becoming one of my favorite fantasy series. I love how Card has merged such unique ideas with a basic foundation like early America. The books just continue to get better.
