And a Happy New Year

It sure is nice to be home. My Christmas vacation was really nice - it's always good to spend time with family. We had some issues - my husband and I got stuck in the mountains in Colorado when they shut down I-70 and had to spend the night on a hard floor instead of seeing family - but it was worth it to be able to be with our family for the holidays. That is, after all, what the holidays are all about.

So now it's back to real life and I'll admit that I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things with work and other responsibilities. I could use more vacation... But I'm sure I would get sick of it eventually. I'm the type of person who likes a little structure and something to work towards in my life.

I kept a list in 2007 of all the books I read: total of 61. I didn't start it in January so the numbers are a little off, but my 2008 list will be more accurate. I also completed two writing projects and started a third in the year 2007, which is something I'm really proud of. I hope to work toward publication in 2008. Good things to come in this new year.

What are you looking forward to this year?
